The online teaching
promoted by eCampus4Learn is a continuous training process that uses network technologies to design,
distribute, select, manage and expand learning. This process focuses on dynamism, modularity and
interactivity, which are the main elements in the design of content that can be delivered through
the network. The eCampus4Learn VLE uses innovative software for content management and
visualisation (CMS, Content Management System), an
application platform for the delivery of courses and learning objects (LMS),
collaborative teaching, a
Student Administration Service to carry out all administrative and bureaucratic
tasks, and Registers
for the collection and certification of all activities carried out by students and
professors.
The eCampus4Learn VLE training programme offers two types of courses, online and
in-person, and is based on a modular architecture. Therefore, certain basic functions must be
installed in order for the entire infrastructure to be operational. The modules required for
operation vary, depending on the training mode that the university intends to adopt: the online mode
requires the installation of components for teaching support, while the in-person mode consists of
functions aimed at the computerised management of secretarial and administrative activities.
