WikieCampus
Il Wiki di eCampus is an online collaborative tool that allows students to work
together on content, share information, and develop projects collectively. In other words, a
“wiki” is a set of web pages that can be edited, updated and expanded by several students in
a simple and intuitive way.
Through this collaborative learning tool, the professors can assign different e-activities
to groups of students to facilitate comprehension of concepts, further the students’
understanding of topics covered during the lessons, or create resources shared by all
students in the course. In particular, this portal allows:
- cooperative and/or collaborative writing of online multimedia content;
- the organization of information in a well-structured manner, creating several thematic pages that can be linked together.
- The tracking on the RAS (Student Activity Register) of the participation in each e-activity by the student;
- the enrichment of the students’ e-Portfolio, where the professors can provide feedback on the activity.
- The creation of pages to provide additional materials, create interactive discussions and collect student contributions in an orderly manner.
The Wiki di eCampus is a virtual environment that promotes cooperation among the students and facilitates the organization and management of information, making the learning process more interactive and dynamic. It is a tool aimed at enriching the learning experience through the active participation of students and the support of professors.
C-MAP TOOLS
A mappa concettuale is a tool aimed at knowledge representation and is developed on the basis of an interpretative key or a precise focal question (e-tivity). thanks to this collaborative learning tool, the professors can assign different e-activities to student groups in order to facilitate the understanding of concepts, deepen topics covered during the lessons, or create resources shared by all students in the course. In particular, this portal:
Created by IHMC, an American academic research institute in the field of human and artificial cognitive sciences, C-MAP is the most advanced software available today for creating even highly complex concept maps in online, synchronous and asynchronous cooperation and collaboration.
It is possible to export a map as an image, web page or PDF. In addition, multiple resources such as text documents in various formats, videos, images, other C-maps, audio, presentations, web pages and executable files can be inserted into a C-Map. In this way, a map can become the basic structure for a hypertext or hypermedia.
In order to cooperate and/or collaborate with other students, it is possible to save the map on the “Uniecampus” remote server; through the synchronous collaboration tools, it is in fact possible for a group of students to simultaneously share the same map and collaborate on its construction, also using a chat to dialogue and agree on the work assigned by the professor.
Even in this case, the learner’s participation in each phase of the e-activity is tracked and reported in the RAS (Student Activity Register), contributing to the enrichment of the candidate’s e-Portfolio, an environment in which the professor then provides feedback on the activity carried out.
