MULTIMEDIA LIBRARY
The Multimedia Library has the aim of supplying further basic resources for the learning and in-depth analysis of the disciplines: not only by offering a traditional consultation/loan service of the texts recommended by the teachers, but also by taking advantage of the most cutting-edge web technologies to issue multimedia back-ups accessible to all students.
In the “Multimedia Library” section, professors and students have access to the contents of the various online collections made available by publishing houses and resource aggregators (Elsevier, Clarivate Analytics, Giuffrè, JStor, EBSCO, De Gruyter, Mirabile, etc.) with which the institution has an agreement or subscription. Furthermore, the Multimedia Library is registered to the Central Institute for the Single Catalogue of Italian Libraries and Bibliographic Information (ICCU) and also ensures document delivery to students and professors through the affiliated NILDE system.
Users will be able to:
- consult the teaching documentation (audio, video, texts) provided in the individual course programmes;
- carry out online bibliographic searches;
- view, watch and/or listen to e-books, newspapers, texts, manuals, dictionaries, scientific journals, documentaries, films, seminars, lessons, historical and contemporary recordings online.
IRIS CATALOGUE (INSTITUTIAL RESEARCH INFORMATION SYSTEM)
The IRIS research catalogue is the IT solution that facilitates the collection and management of data on research activities and products. It provides researchers, administrators and evaluators with the tools needed to monitor research results, increase their visibility and effectively allocate available resources.
The eCampus4Learn Catalogue of Research Products can contain the scientific production of the University’s lecturers and researchers. This application was developed by Cineca following the merger with CILEA and CASPUR of the U-GOV Research system, from which it inherits all the best pre-existing functions.
The Catalogue is the only tool for entering the University’s scientific production. The MUR teaching sites, which remain in view-only mode, are in fact automatically fed by the Catalogue itself without the need for double data entry.
